🎓 Core skills for the AI era

Foundations for the AI Era

The more AI can do for us, the more our own foundations matter: the language skills to turn thoughts into precise sentences, English to reach a wider world of sources, math and science to weigh numbers and evidence, and an understanding of how AI produces its answers.

With these basics, one well-made prompt lets you work with AI clearly and turn what it gives you into creative, productive work. Seven courses, including money and the economy and reading and writing simple code, taken one lesson at a time.

7courses 70lessons 311practice questions

Courses marked "In Korean" are written for native Korean speakers and are available in Korean only.

Seven courses

Ten lessons each. Taken in order, every lesson builds on the one before.

COURSE 1 · 10 lessonsMath Basics

AI can do the arithmetic for you, but deciding what to calculate and judging whether the answer is right is still your job. This course rebuilds the math you need for that judgment.

  1. Numbers and Operations: Fractions and Decimals Revisited
  2. Ratios and Rates: Reading Percentages Correctly
  3. Equations: A Balance for Finding Unknown Numbers
  4. Functions and Graphs: An Eye for Change

  4. Statistics: Mean, Median, and Variance
  5. Reading Data: The Traps in Graphs
  6. The Math for Understanding AI

COURSE 2 · 10 lessonsBasic Science

Before science is a list of facts to memorize, it is a way of checking claims. Once you know the basic principles, you can judge for yourself whether an AI's explanation is right.

  1. The Scientific Method — The Skill of Checking Claims
  2. Force and Motion — Newton's Three Laws
  3. Energy — It Changes Form, but the Total Stays the Same
  4. Electricity and Magnetism — Current Makes a Magnet

  5. Earth and Climate — Plates, Atmosphere, Seasons
  6. Space Basics — From the Solar System to the Big Bang

COURSE 3 · 10 lessonsAI Basics

To use AI well, you first need to know what it does well and what it does poorly. Once you understand how it works, your questions change, and when your questions change, so do the results.

  1. What Is AI? — Rules and Learning
  2. Machine Learning Basics — Data, Model, Training, Evaluation
  3. Neural Networks, Intuitively — Small Calculations Add Up to Judgment

  5. Working with AI — Delegate, Check, Connect
  6. Learning Strategies for the AI Era — The Basics Shape Your Questions

COURSE 4 · 10 lessonsEconomics and Personal Finance Basics

Financial literacy is not knowing what to buy. It is the ability to run the numbers yourself and test whether a claim adds up. The more financial information AI pours out, the more these basics become your yardstick for judgment.

  1. The Time Value of Money and Compound Interest: How Time Grows Money
  2. Interest, Inflation, and Real Returns: More Money vs. More Buying Power
  3. Budgets and Emergency Funds: Seeing Where Money Goes and Building a Cushion

Learning paths

Lessons picked from all seven courses and put in order for three kinds of learners. Work down the list and each lesson sets up the next.

Students

Lock in the core of calculation (fractions, percentages, equations, functions), then sentence structure and reading, English patterns and tenses, scientific thinking and a first taste of code (values, variables, conditions), ending with how to study with AI.

Where should I start?

Starting from the top works best, but if you have a pressing goal, begin here.

How each lesson works

  1. GoalsSee first what you will be able to do by the end.
  2. Lesson and examplesRead the explanation and work through the examples by hand.
  3. Summary and quizReview the key points, answer the questions, then open the answers.
  4. Review with AICopy a prompt to review with AI, then mark the lesson complete.

What this tool does

Foundational literacy is the skill that lasts longest in the AI era. These 70 lessons cover Korean, English, math, basic science, AI, economics and personal finance, and coding in seven courses of ten. Clear writing, reading English sources, weighing numbers and evidence, knowing how AI produces answers and how money works, and being able to read and write simple code let you talk to AI precisely and turn the results into creative, productive work.

How it is calculated

Every lesson runs: goals, explanation with worked examples, key points, practice questions, and prompt ideas for reviewing with AI. Answers and explanations can be expanded, and multiple-choice questions can be checked instantly. Coding lessons also have a code lab: edit the code, run it and it is checked automatically, inside an isolated sandbox in your browser. Marking a lesson complete saves your progress only in this browser. The math, science, AI, economics and coding courses are fully in English; the Korean and English courses are taught in Korean.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free?

Yes. All lessons and questions are free with no sign-up, and progress is stored in your browser without an account.

Are the lessons available in English?

Yes for five of the seven courses. Math Basics, Basic Science, AI Basics, Economics and Personal Finance Basics and Coding Basics are fully in English, including quizzes, the unlimited drills and the code labs. Korean Language Basics and English Basics are written for native Korean speakers and are available in Korean only.

Where should I start?

Any course can come first, but within a course start at lesson 1. If you have a specific goal, use 'Where should I start?' on the home page.

Do I need to install anything to learn coding?

No. Coding Basics starts from what a program is, and every lesson has a code lab where you edit and run JavaScript right on the page. Your code never leaves your browser: it runs in an isolated sandbox with no network access and is stopped after 2 seconds.

These lessons summarise general school-level knowledge for self-study and do not replace exam materials or professional advice. The economics and finance lessons recommend no products and are not investment or tax advice. All sample data in the coding lessons is made up.
